In our Network Accounting Team , the team is responsible for financial and accounting activities related to financial movements between different Avis Budget Group entities and partners such as licensees, agencies etc.

As Senior Accountant in the Network Accounting Team your role will be:

  • processing, reporting, and booking invoices or other cost information from partners
  • analysing and controlling partner costs and partner statements; calculating licensee and agency fees
  • issuing invoices / bills and credit notes to partners
  • ensuring partner contract details are continuously updated in our systems;
  • processing and controlling cash receipt
  • making bank payments and controlling instalments
  • month end related reconciliations and associated month-, quarter- or year-end tasks
  • preparing partner performance targets, scorecards and monthly cash flow reports
  • regular communication with the partners and headquarters, handling their queries and claims
  • managing and controlling data uploads covering amongst other things sales volumes, commissions and tax charges;
  • in case of issues proactively contacting the partner and when necessary, escalating problems to senior team members or the team leader
  • maintaining pro-active contacts with other BSC departments, partners alike
  • acting independently within scope of responsibility 
  • keeping deadlines and aligning with compliance rules
  • supporting process improvement through sharing ideas

  • degree in economics, preferably in finance/accounting
  • minimum 2-3 year experience accounting is expected;
  • English AND German language knowledge (verbal, written) at least on an upper-intermediate level
  • analytical mind-set
  • excellent problem solving skills, logical thinking
  • accuracy; ability to work precisely under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • “can do “ mentality, collaborative approach; team spirit
  • confident user skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially in Excel
