FP&A Commercial Finance Senior Analyst

Location: Bracknell (Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

The role supports the EMEA Vice President of Commercial and their Sales organisation, in optimising and managing the cost of sale generated from B2B and Travel Company accounts which generate over €2B revenue per annum.

You will be instrumental in championing and driving this with the rest of your colleagues to deliver improved reporting, decision support and cost control through providing information, insight and recommendations and the adoption in your area of Tableau for reporting.

You will be commercially astute, enjoy problem solving, be able to plan and prioritise effectively.

You will report directly to Head of Commercial Finance.

The role is responsible for the following areas:

  • Overrides (Commercial rebates or commissions paid to travel companies or B2B accounts)
    • Manage and oversee the Overrides process across EMEA
      • Forecasting the Overrides for the full year liaising with the Commercial teams to inform the full year plan or forecast updates.
      • Calculating monthly override accruals for EMEA based on actual and projected trading.
      • Manage the payment calculation process at the end of the contract period ensuring all contract terms are adhered to.
      • Run overrides financial governance payment approval meetings with the International CFO and VP of Commercial.
      • Manage the recharge process to the operating units and licensee partners.
      • Support the annual French sub licensee override process audit.
      • Manage override calculation and recharge process transition to Tableau.
  • Corporate account audits
    • Manage the support of Customer billing audits, providing analysis and financial governance to Commercial to support our Customer requests for auditing the billing of their accounts.
    • Provide feedback to the business on process issues identified.
  • Frequent Traveller Point
    • Backup support on Frequent Traveller point reporting, governance and insight generation.
  • Adhoc analysis
    • Project or analytical support to adhoc requests.

The Role has the following generic responsibilities also:

  • Process Improvement                                   
    • Examine critically existing processes to identify remediations to eliminate errors and make more efficient (engaging with BI team to utilise best practice)
  • Improve Dashboards and reporting
    • Review current output and make fit for purpose
    • Work with teams across the business to define a best approach 
  • Business Partnering
    • Your outstanding communication skills will help you to effectively communicate complex concepts, and you will be confident in challenging and supporting your internal customers.

Experience & Skills:

Degree qualified or relevant experience

Studying towards a financial qualification

Previous BI / data experience

Experience of dealing with large data sets in systems

Experience of problem solving, planning and prioritisation

Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint)

Experience of manipulating large amounts of data

Experience in using Tableau / Power BI / Qlikview

Ability to see through complex and large data sets to identify and communicate underlying issues
