Maintenance & Damage is a department that supports the UK operations by managing both vehicle in-life and end of life programs that include maintenance, recoveries, damage and salvage. This role is specifically formed around the damage element at end of life during the defleet process. This critical activity requires consistent communication within the team, gathering data and analysing the data to see trends and formulate action plans to minimise cost.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual within the repair and defleeting auto industry, with excellent analytical and communication skills to play a key role in a busy team which is central to the company’s control of costs. Key responsibilities for this position:
Vehicle Inspection – Undertakes vehicle inspections to ensure effective repair management
Vehicle Repairs – Assesses repair methods and engineers repairs to minimise costs to the business
Supplier Assessment – Audits the supplier network against SLA performance to find a cost-effective solution without compromising quality - focusing on OEMs de-fleeting center
Internal Customer Support – Resolves any internal technical query and supports internal training to ensure damage recording and monitoring are handled correctly
Communication and relationships with key stakeholders in other departments
Support communication and reporting to the UK and wider business
Job requirements:
Relevant Engineering Qualification
Vehicle Inspection Standards experience such as BVRLA and various OEM return standards
Fluent English
Strong technical knowledge of the OEMs repair standard
Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Available to travel
Ability to analyse complex data streams and find trends, formulate recommendations and communicate them effectively to senior management
Communication skills: strong negotiation skill, able in building good relation with stakeholders, confident representing own views, regularly sharing information and ideas with team
Completing work to a high level of accuracy and detail, maintaining focus, energy and effort when under pressure
Planning and delivering; working hard to achieve or exceed targets and objectives, plans and prioritising work effectively
