Looking after 6 regional locations, in the upper North Island you will be responsible for the management of staff, fleet, and operational requirements in Kerikeri, Whangarei, Auckland City, Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua.

 

About the Role

 

This hands-on role will back up and support Branch Managers and will see you travelling on a regular occasion to help out, monitor and achieve required results at six regional offices.

 

You will monitor performance against objectives to ensure revenue, cost, and ultimately profitability is achieved as per the plan within the region.

 

Key Accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead an accomplished team to achieve organisational goals in line with business strategy.

  • Identify and continually monitor employee needs and implement actions to increase employee satisfaction and manage the performance of employees as needed.

  • Continuously identify talent within the workplace by implementing training programmes and in turn, succession planning.

  • Contributing to the development of the annual business plan and continually comparing location performance against the strategic plan and taking necessary actions.

  • Manage, forecast, and maintain fleet (in collaboration with fleet department) and staffing levels (proactively manage recruitment process) through effective workforce planning and rostering.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Superior team leadership experience with exceptional problem-solving skills.  Car rental industry experience will be highly advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching and conflict resolution skills.

  • Business acumen with proven ability to maximise sales and location performance, minimise business costs and work towards achieving strategic goals.

  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word.
