As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be the key point of contact managing payroll operations across multiple EMEA entities, with a special focus on Germany. Leveraging your payroll expertise, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, working closely with external payroll vendors and internal teams to guarantee compliance and operational excellence.
This role offers a dynamic opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with HR, finance, tax, and people systems teams to maintain accurate employee data and ensure seamless payroll integration across jurisdictions.
What You'll Do:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries, with a primary focus on Germany.
- Ensure all payrolls are processed accurately, timely, and comply with federal, state/canton, local, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for complex payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Interpret and apply policies related to leaves, disability, allowances, one-time payments, garnishments, and more.
- Collaborate with payroll vendors to ensure correct application and settlement of payroll data.
- Review payroll calculations for gross pay, bonuses, commissions, pension contributions, absences, holidays, and statutory leave.
- Validate salary calculations to ensure compliance with national minimum wage requirements.
- Partner with People Systems teams to streamline the end-to-end payroll process from HR systems to payroll platforms.
- Handle monthly Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) calculations through payroll.
- Support the European Hub Payroll Manager in driving payroll process improvements and efficiencies.
Experience you’ll have:
- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processing for Germany; experience with other EMEA countries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of taxation, audit, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent payroll management skills combined with stakeholder management and clear communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in business process analysis and payroll process management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively across HR, finance, tax, and external vendors.
- Fluent in German and English (both spoken and written). Polish language skills would be an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex payroll queries and regulations confidently.
