Role Summary 

Lead the analysis of payment and fraud data, including owning the performance, tuning, and optimization of the fraud detection systems and tools used across the organization. Acts as a subject matter expert on fraud typologies and detection technology, driving continuous improvement of business strategies to reduce losses and grow revenue. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, internal departments, and vendors. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract, clean, and analyze daily/periodic transaction level report to monitor authorization rates, bank decline reasons, chargeback trends, and fraud scoring 

  • Prepare ad hoc materials on any data points such as AVS/CVV outcomes, fraud rule performance and profile effectiveness (e.g., Pay Now vs Pay Later, eCommerce, Call Center channels) 

  • Deliver clear business narratives and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders 

  • Support the evaluation of new tools or prevention layers, including implementation 

  • Collaborate with partners across internal and external teams to control fraud losses 

  • Resolve active cases by investigating flagged transactions 

  • Identify and implement automation and system enhancements 

  • Ensure all transaction data is handled in a compliant manner with ABG data classification, PCI-DSS and information security policies 

  • Produce leadership reporting to demonstrate trends and identify process improvements 

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in payment and/or fraud analytics, or e-commerce risk, preferably in travel, mobility, retail, or e-commerce 

  • Fluent English – both oral and written 

  • Preferred experience with common industry tools such as payment gateways (Cybersource) and third-party fraud prevention/decisioning platforms (Decision Manager, Signifyd) 

  • Solid understanding of card-scheme authorization flows, decline reason coding, AVS/CVV results, and the chargeback lifecycle 

  • Advanced with Excel or other data-handling tools (Power BI, Tableau) 

  • Proficient in analyzing large volume data to draw actionable conclusions, and communicate to non-financial stakeholders 

  • Rigorous approach to data handling and confidentiality, in line with PCI/PII requirements 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as communicate across all levels of organization 

  • Demonstrated history of driving continuous improvement and solving problems 

  • Must be comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization across North America, European, and Asis Pacific time zones
