Job description

We are looking for a Paid Search Automation Specialist to join our PPC team in Barcelona. In this role, you will help scale our Paid Search activity through advanced automation and AI-driven solutions.

Sitting at the intersection of Paid Search, data, and engineering, you will design and build intelligent systems that automate campaign creation, optimisation, and performance analysis across multiple platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for Paid Search across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other channels

  • Develop scalable solutions to automatically create and structure campaigns, including ad groups, keywords, and ad copy aligned with search intent

  • Build automated processes to harvest, classify, and organize search queries, including negative keyword management

  • Apply AI and machine learning techniques to optimise keywords, bids, budgets, and campaign structures

  • Analyse performance data at scale to identify growth opportunities and efficiency improvements

  • Develop automated monitoring, anomaly detection, and alerting systems

  • Create scalable reporting solutions using tools such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Looker Studio, or BigQuery

  • Collaborate with Paid Search specialists and Performance Marketing teams to embed automation into daily workflows

  • Continuously evaluate new AI tools, APIs, and platform capabilities to drive innovation

What you bring

  • 1+ years of experience in Paid Search or Performance Marketing

  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads

  • Strong understanding of Paid Search fundamentals, including keyword strategy, match types, bidding, and ad performance

  • Experience building automation solutions for campaign creation and optimisation

  • Experience using AI tools for keyword generation, ad copy creation, and performance analysis

  • Programming/scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, Google Ads Scripts, SQL, BigQuery)

  • Experience working with APIs and data extraction workflows

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of attribution modelling, incrementality testing, or marketing mix modelling (MMM)

  • Experience activating first-party/customer data in Paid Search

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
