Avis Budget Group – International Employee Referral Program

The Employee Referral Program has been designed to actively encourage existing employees to introduce new employees into Avis Budget Group (ABG) International. These could be friends, relations, ex-colleagues, or business contacts. Employees who successfully introduce a new employee will be rewarded financially. The purpose of the program is to assist in the recruitment of talented high-quality new employees and reward current employees when they are able to support the recruitment process for current vacancies.

  1. Terms of the Program:

  • The Company will pay a referral bonus to any employee who refers a candidate who is subsequently employed by the Company as a result of that referral, provided that all the terms of this policy are satisfied.
  • The policy is applicable to the recruitment and hiring of Permanent, Temporary / Fixed Term, Seasonal and Fijos Discontinuos positions.
  • The policy doesn’t include referrals for Intern / Student, Zero Hours, Casuals and/or Contingent Worker (Contractor) positions.
  • Only one employee is able to refer a particular candidate, however, there is no limit on the number of referrals that an employee can make. The referring employee will be awarded a referral bonus for each successful eligible referral, as per the table in section 5 below.
  • Both the referring employee and the new employee must be employed by the Company at the time of the payments.
  • If a referring employee is subject to contractual restrictions associated with their previous employment prohibiting solicitation or involvement in recruitment of former colleagues, referral bonuses will be withheld for any referral made in breach of such restrictions.
  • This policy will be monitored and audited, and any breach of the terms and conditions will be subject to potential disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

  1. Process:

  • Contratti a tempo indeterminato:
  • Refer a candidate through the Workday - Careers – Refer a candidate or Find Jobs.
  • Current employee needs to include the mandatory information requested by the system and candidate must apply to the Job requisition. If the candidate doesn’t not complete the full application process won’t be considered as a referral.
  • Candidate needs to be referred for a specific job. Spontaneous referrals won’t be taken into consideration.
  • The Company will conduct interviews only with those referred candidates who meet the Company’s requirements and position qualifications and will extend an offer of employment only to the best candidate for a role, regardless of how the candidate came to the attention of the Company.
  • The referral bonus will be paid pursuant to the chart below once:
    • Permanent contracts: the referred employee successfully passed the probation period.**
    • Non-permanent contracts: the referred employee successfully completes 4 weeks of service in the Company.
    • Each portion of the payment, where applicable, will be processed as a one-time payment, subject to normal tax and withholdings as required by law. If a temporary fee is paid, the referral could not claim for an additional referral fee if the referee gets a permanent contract within Avis Budget Group.
    • Only one referral payment will be processed per referred candidate. Consider referred candidate joining the Company under a temporary contract, being this extended to a permanent contract. In that case, the referral amount will correspond to the first contract with the candidate joining the organization.
  • ** Contracts without a legal probation period framed, payment will be processed after the referee completes 4 months in the organization.
