Our Account Managers are responsible for ensuring that a company's products and services are provided in an acceptable manner to accounts with its most important customers. This role is often in charge of several regional Travel Management Company (TMC) and Agency relationships. This is considered a sales position, so a relevant background and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in sales or marketing are ideal for this position. Account Managers are required to meet certain goals relating to sales volume and profit. It is important to be able to keep costs associated with providing products and services as low as possible while still meeting quality standards, and they may also make projections for sales with approval of upper management. Some negotiating may be involved in this position in order to secure satisfactory deals for both the client and the service or product provider. In some situations, the Account Manager is responsible for securing new accounts, and presentations may need to be created to convince clients to make deals. What you’ll do: Develop and implement short and long term strategic sales plans to drive profitable growth for a portfolio of over $100M+ comprised of travel management companies, agencies and national consortiums Negotiate high level partnership deals & renewals Liaison between sales and marketing, aiding the development of marketing campaigns to align with revenue targets Utilize data analytics to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities Define and achieve sales goals, budgets and margin targets Submit monthly and quarterly sales recaps outlining the wins and losses Interface often with senior leadership to communicate action plans for attaining and exceeding performance goals Work directly with key accounts to ensure proper service levels are maintained, special projects are executed and promotional displays are implemented Frequent speaking engagements and networking events Reporting to the Head of TMC Partnerships with collaboration across all the Commercial Sales Leaders What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s Degree required 3-5 years of Sales and Account Management experience preferred Travel or car rental experience is strongly preferred Experience with Salesforce Ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and ability to work independently Ability to travel up to 50% Perks you’ll get: Clear and defined career paths to pursue Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Legal, Identity Theft, Accident Insurance, FSA, additional life insurance coverages Contribute up to $260 as a tax-free benefit for public transportation or parking expenses 401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributions Full training to learn the business and enhance professional skills Employee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and more Who are we?
