What you’ll do:

• Support the corporate tax function within the accounting department at Avis Budget Group in various day-to-day responsibilities
• Assist multiple team members with tax accounting and other federal, state and local, and international tax projects as needed
• Compile data from various sources (such as pulling reports from financial systems and coordinating data requests with other departments) needed to complete various tax returns and the corporate tax provision
• Perform basic tax research and monitor any changes to tax law
• Respond to inquiries or correspondence from taxing authorities
• Create or update Excel workpapers to analyze multiple tax scenarios and consequences
• Develop and foster a network with colleagues across various business departments

What we’re looking for:

• Ability to work 35 hours a week
• The ability to reliably commute to our Parsippany, NJ corporate headquarters at least 3 days a week
• Active enrollment at college/university
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting with a demonstrated strong academic record

• Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
• Contribute positively to the organization, both individually and as part of a team
• Proficient MS Excel and intermediate Word and PowerPoint skills
