The Role
Managing, supporting and growing the Avis / Budget business, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of our operations, logistics and people to ensure your location is both efficient and profitable.
This varied role will see you very hands-on with:
Leadership of operations and team including rostering, on-job coaching and goal setting
Coach, develop and inspire the team to achieve high performance in quality, service, and sales to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service and NPS scores are achieved.
Customer experience and sales, even assisting with vehicle rental if required
Logistics and making sure cars are cleaned and ready when needed
Business development and general operations compliance including improving new and existing business opportunities from local markets.
Maintain effective fleet utilisation and profit generation i.e., fleet management/logistics to get “right car, right place, right time”
Achieve annual goals in financial objectives and our internal team culture.
Working with our wider team and liaising with Head Office
Work health and safety champion.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience managing and leading a team in a similar role or sales/operations environment will be essential to succeed in this position.
A passion for customer service and driven by sales and performance targets with an understanding of market dynamics to develop our business is also key.
Being a team leader with the ability to motivate, coach, mentor and develop the team with a genuine desire to provide a great workplace. You will be a dynamic, positive person with great communication skills who takes initiative in a hands-on leadership style to drive the success of the business. Workplace health and safety knowledge will also be needed to ensure we are operating effectively.
Good computer skills (Excel skills essential) and ability to pick up new systems easily will also be needed (training will be provided for our in-house systems) as will a full driver’s licence.
