Assistant Controller

We are currently looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Rome, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial data under US GAAP
• Coordinate monthly closing activities for reporting purposes
• Review balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure proper recording of revenues, expenses, depreciation, accruals, and deferrals
• Review and approve adjusting and correcting journal entries
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with ITA GAAP
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation
• Support special projects

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP and ITA GAAP)
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Team management capabilities
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Oracle Cloud)
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced, professional English level
